Olson Auctions is also committed to supporting local artists. By educating our auction attendees of Lower Mainland talent, we help artists sell their original pieces and promote an awareness of their work.

Olson Auctions' flexible services allows you to choose the best method to consign:
1) Contribute your original artwork or estate pieces to one of our many upcoming public auctions in the Lower Mainland. These auctions take place in a variety of facilities such as golf courses, community centres and gallery spaces. Your consigned goods will be safe in our fully insured storage facilities.

2) We can bring our auction services to you! Many estate sales take place at the home being settled. In this instance, buyers are responsible for the removal of purchased goods. This way you, the consignor, can avoid storage and moving fees. Imagine settling your entire estate in just one day without ever leaving the comfort of your home!

If you are serious about earning the most money for your consignment, as we are, then you need to plan for the following:
What items are going to earn the most money in the auction? When should the itmes be auctioned off? Who would buy these items? How do you get people to attend? What day of the week would be best? What time of the day? How many people must attend? How does payment work? Where will people park? How long should the auction last? What about taxes? Who covers the insurance costs? What types of marketing should be used? How much can I expect to get? When do I receive payment? What about refunds? Are special liscences required? How can I be sure my interests are being protected?

In 2010, we will be organizing 6 large estate auctions:
One every 6-8 weeks starting March 13th.
PAYMENT?
Olson Auctions, owners of westcoastauctions.ca settles with its consignors within 5 business days.
Only sold items are subject to a seller's fee.
It's quite simple, if we dont sell it, we dont get paid!
In most cases, you can plan on paying a 30% commission to our company for the planning, marketing and calling of your estate auction. That means 70% goes to you.
Each auction is different, so contact us today for your specific needs.
We accept MC, Visa and Cash as payment options on auction day.
PRICING?
Olson Auctions sells the majority of its auction items with no reserve price. This ensures that all items are sold and creates a sense of urgency that is crucial to the auction's success.
For items of great value, there is the potential to assign a minimum reserve price. This means, if the item does not reach the reserve in the bidding process, it is not sold.
